''The project aims at putting in value the wetland “Santa Catalina” within the most polluted basin of Argentina and one of the most polluted in the world, the Matanza-Riachuelo River (hereafter CMR), contributing to the conservation of its biodiversity and restoration of a portion of its territory. It will also focus on strengthening a currently weak tie, that between the students (apart of the wetland is situated in lands that belong to the Lomas de Zamora National University (hereafter UNLZ) and the nearby community and the wetland, through the promotion of in situ preservation activities and bimonthly environmental education activities.
